Gold Worth Rs 49 Lakh Seized from Passenger at Kannur Airport
Kannur: Authorities at Kannur International Airport recently apprehended a passenger, Mustafa, aged 33, who was found in possession of gold worth Rs 49 lakh. Mustafa had concealed 832.4 grams of gold ornaments in a unique manner.
Having arrived from Sharjah in the morning, Mustafa had ingeniously hidden the gold within three capsules, which he had ingested.
Notably, the gold was not detected during the routine luggage inspection. However, upon Mustafa’s exit from the airport, his behavior raised suspicions, prompting the airport police to take action and launch an investigation into the matter. The case is currently under investigation by airport authorities.
