During Thursday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Jackson’s quick feet propelled him to surpass Randall Cunningham and secure the fourth spot in all-time quarterback rushing yards with an 8-yard carry in the first quarter.

Despite dealing with an ankle issue, Jackson managed to rush for 54 yards from nine carries, bringing his career total to 4,972 yards at just 26 years old. He’s on the brink of joining the elite group of only four quarterbacks who have achieved 5,000 rushing yards.

Before Week 11, Jackson needed just 11 yards to overtake Cunningham (4,928) for the fourth position. Now, he sits behind Michael Vick (6,109 yards), Cam Newton (5,628), and Russell Wilson (5,197) in the all-time rankings.

Prior to the game against the Bengals, Jackson led all quarterbacks with an average of 48.1 rushing yards per game.

He stands as only the second quarterback in NFL history to reach 1,000 rushing yards in a single season, a feat he shares with Michael Vick. Additionally, Jackson is the sole quarterback to achieve multiple 1,000-yard rushing campaigns.

During Thursday’s match, Jackson’s remarkable running abilities elevated him further up the ladder in the record books for quarterback rushing yards.
