According to InsideSport’s report, Rishabh Pant might make a return to the India-Afghanistan series scheduled for January. However, before that, he will need to work on his fitness in domestic cricket. Currently, Pant is training at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore, and the BCCI’s medical team is closely monitoring his progress. It’s important to note that Pant’s last cricket match was against Bangladesh in December 2022.

Update from a BCCI Official

A BCCI official provided an update on Pant’s return, stating, “It’s still early days. It’s good that he is batting in the nets, but he needs some more time to be completely fit. He has to play domestic cricket and regain his confidence. If everything goes well, there’s a possibility of his comeback in the Afghanistan series. However, it’s not confirmed yet.”
