Action Scenes After a Heart Attack
During her promotional tour for the new season of “Aarya 3,” Sen opened up to Hindustan Times about her ordeal. She shared that she had filmed an action scene just one month after her heart attack. The resilience and determination she displayed were remarkable.
She explained, “It was a cathartic experience because all the action sequences you see in the trailer were filmed only a month after my heart attack. So when Aarya, my character, gets shot, falls to the ground, and gasps for air, it was like a surreal merging of reel and real life. As somber as it may sound, I believe it marked a fresh beginning for me, both personally and for Aarya on screen.”
Family History of Heart Issues
Sushmita Sen also delved into her family history of heart problems, shedding light on how her own heart attack took her by surprise. She revealed, “Both my parents have heart conditions. I used to undergo two check-ups each year because I was aware of the genetic predisposition. My last check-up was just six months before the heart attack, and the results were shocking. Everything appeared to be fine: the stress test, the echo, all of it. The heart attack happened suddenly and unexpectedly.”
Heartfelt Message
In March of this year, the former Miss Universe bravely shared her health setback. She posted a photo with her father, Subir Sen, and wrote, “Keep your heart happy and courageous, and it’ll stand by you when you need it the most. Shona” (wise words from my father, @sensubir). I had a heart attack a few days ago. Angioplasty was performed, a stent was put in place, and most importantly, my cardiologist confirmed that ‘I do have a big heart.'”
